Created in conjunction with Gloucestershire Archives and the Museum In the Park, Stroud, as part of a virtual exhibition to commemorate the bicentenary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade, Inhuman Traffic involves different performances for public and schools looking at the history and modern perspectives of slavery.

Inhuman Traffic

This 4 person performance for the public looks at 4 different characters associated with slavery. These are:

Granville Sharp - One of the leading slavery abolitionists

Mrs. Codrington - A member of a slave trading family from the 18th and 19th centuries

Dmitri - A trafficker of people from Eastern Europe

Angela - A victim of domestic violence

The four characters each relate their own stories which interweave to give an overview of slavery and associated issues and an opportunity to compare historical and modern day slavery.

Cost per one hour performance: £400.00
