Oscar & Aubrey

Despite only living to the age of 25, Aubrey Beardsley was one of the most notorious artists of the late 19th century.

His illustrations and erotic drawings for works such as Oscar Wilde's Salome and the infamous Yellow Book shocked Victorian sensibilities.

This 30 minute performance looks at Beardsley's short life, his work and his friendship with Oscar Wilde which both established and almost destroyed his career.

Oscar & Aubrey was first performed at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
