CARL LINNAEUS
THE MAN WHO NAMED PLANTS
Developed from a shorter performance for the Natural History Museum, this 45 minute solo performance looks at the life and work of Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus and his creation of a binomial system of plant classification.
From his childhood fascination with plants and animals to his journeys through Sweden and his flora and fauna collecting, this performance uses the poetry of his own language to reveal his character and the complexities of the natural world.
Performances include an interactive workshop exploring plants and their importance in the world.
