Somehow, Somewhere in France is a new project focusing on World War One looking at the records from churches looked after by the Churches Conservation Trust.

​SOMEHOW, SOMEWHERE IN FRANCE - GLOUCESTER

This powerful performance tells the true story of 5 brothers from the Welshman family from Westgate Street area of Gloucester in the First World War.

Written by John Bassett the script is based on thorough historical research from St Nicholas Church records and other archives.

The research was carried out by the Ageing Well group - supported by Age UK Gloucestershire. The project is supported by the Churches Conservation Trust and is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

This powerful theatre performance tells the true story of the Lambley, Riddick and Beard families from Tetbury and their lives before, during and after the First World War.

Written by John Bassett the script is based on thorough historical research from St Saviours Church records and other archives.

​Admission is free and tickets are available from Tetbury Tourist Information Centre .

The research has been carried out by St Mary's School Tetbury. The project is supported by the Churches Conservation Trust and is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
